About
Margarethe Emilie Rogg, MD
Dr. Rogg is a respected family physician and founder of Odyssey Family Medicine, which opened in 2021. She takes pride in giving each patient her undivided attention and is known locally for providing excellent care to her patients.
After high school, Dr. Rogg attended Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute in Troy, New York, where she graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in biomedical engineering and a minor in German, summa cum laude. In addition to her studies at Rensselaer, she spent a year abroad studying at the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology in Zurich, Switzerland.
In August of 1992, she enrolled at the University of Connecticut School of Medicine. While in medical school, she performed research on maternal health in rural Haiti, earning her Doctorate of Medicine in 1996. Thereafter, she completed three years of post-graduate training in family medicine at the Ventura County Medical Center in Ventura, California. Since 1999, Dr. Rogg has been board-certified by the American Board of Family Medicine.
Dr. Rogg’s medical work includes years working in emergency departments in California and rural Colorado, volunteering in rural Uttar Pradesh, India, years practicing family medicine in Oregon, and working in an urgent care from 2012 until 2022.
Having observed the medical system from varying perspectives, Dr. Rogg became convinced that the medical profession needs to approach patient care differently. She began researching and training in other areas, including bioidentical hormone replacement, functional medicine, and the microbiome. It is with this wide-ranging background that she decided to open her new practice, Odyssey Family Medicine, to help patients optimize their health.
The mountains brought Dr. Rogg and her family to Colorado in 2010. She has a husband and three sons that keep her busy. Outside the office, she enjoys spending time with her family, hiking, skiing, bicycling and traveling. In addition to her diverse medical background, she is conversant in Spanish, French and German.
